HOW TO MAKE MUTTON PULAO | MUTTON PULAV

Mutton pulao is an aromatic one pot meal with juicy chunks of mutton & flavoured rice. This is one of my favourite rice recipes its a passed down recipe from my grandmother. This is how my mom prepares it and the only change I have made is used brown rice just to make it healthy. It was a regular feature at home on most Sundays. Another important ingredient of mutton pulao is coconut milk, which gives it mild flavour and taste. I can eat this on any day & everyday !!

Ingredients:

3 cups Brown rice (375 gms) Wash & soak for 15 mins
Tomato -2
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
Mint Leaves - 1 bunch
Green chilly 4
Garlic 7-8
Ginger 1' inch
 Cinnamon stick 1 inch
Star anise - 2
Green cardamom - 3
Cloves - 5
Bay leaf-2
Onions - 2
Coconut Milk - 1 cup
Mutton 1/2 kg
Sliced onions
Sliced tomato
Sliced green chillies
In a pan add 1/2 oil fry  Cinnamon, Cardamom & Cloves
let's Make the green paste Grind the garam masala along with garlic, ginger, coriander leaves
Heat oil in a pressure cooker add star anise, bay leaf, sliced green chilly, mint leaves, Stir well
Sliced onions saute till golden  brown
Mutton turmeric powder Stir well
Salt to taste
Sliced tomatoes
Green paste till raw smell go
1 1/2 cup water or 3 cups water
Pressure cook till mutton is fully cooked
Remove from the heat & transfer to different pot
coconut milk 1 cup
 Allow boiling.
Now, add washed and drained the rice
Cook on dum for 10-15 minutes or till rice is done
