Mysore Masala Dosa

Ingredients:

For Making Dosa Batter

Dosa Batter

  • 1.5 cups sona masuri rice
  • 1 cup idli rice
  • 1/2 cup urad dal
  • 3 TBSP Thick poha/avalakki
  • 2 TBSP toor dal
  • 1 TBSP methi/fenugreek seeds
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 3.5 to 4 cups water

Method:


  1.  Except salt, wash and soak all other ingredients listed above in 3 to 4 cups of water overnight or for 6 hours.
  2. Grind it using a grinder or mixer to fine consistency. 
  3. Add the water accordingly to get the right consistency.
  4. Transfer the batter to a big container, 
  5. cover it and keep it in a warm place to ferment. 
  6. Allow it to ferment overnight or 8 to 10 hours (if you live in cold country then it will take more than 10 hours.)
  7. Once it is fermented, add salt and mix well. 
  8. Now we have the mysore masala dosa batter ready.
